Lol!! Sorry you had a bad experience. The key to hostels IMO: make sure you have a sleep mask and good earplugs. Besides the occasional disrespectful people, I loved hostels for making friends, sometimes getting free food and drinks, and learning about walking tours etc. Don’t write them off, yet!!!
